MAX is a vibrant and evolving umbrella arts organization for literary, visual and theatrical artists. To date, we have offered a variety of arts programs for adults and children, including writing and art classes, gallery exhibitions, readings, performances, and community arts projects and events. We are open to hearing ideas and suggestions from the community about what else you would like to see MAX offer – we encourage you get in touch!

Since our inception in early 2016, MAX has offered classes and workshops in painting, drawing, and writing. Though at present, we do not have any scheduled classes, we are actively accepting proposals from individuals who wish to teach a class or workshop. We seek experienced art teachers who are enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring students of varying  skill levels and backgrounds. We also seek proposals for new classes and workshops. How might we collaborate? We look forward to hearing from you!

Granting scholarships is an integral part of the Magnolia Art Experience (MAX) philosophy of “art for all”. While we have a limited number of scholarships, we hope that everyone who needs financial help to attend classes will seek scholarship aid by filling out the application below. The Scholarship Committee considers financial need on a case by case basis and works with the Board to provide funding for scholarships. After your application is received, you will be sent a letter of confirmation. The Scholarship Committee reviews the applications and notifies applicants as soon as possible of scholarship awards before classes begin. Final payment and registration will be worked out between the student and instructor as soon as the award is announced.
